Robinhood has introduced AI agents for trading stocks and cryptocurrencies on September 29. The new service, called Robinhood Agents, is integrated into the mobile app and allows users to customize personal assistants for market analysis, strategy testing, and automated trading. Robinhood stated that the AI agents will be used to develop trading strategies and execute trades in stocks, options, and cryptocurrencies on behalf of clients. The feature is expected to be available for clients in the U.S. The company will also implement OpenAI's GPT-Luna model, which will be free until the end of the year.
In addition, Robinhood plans to launch perpetual crypto futures in collaboration with the cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp. Traders will have access to positions in BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE. For Bitcoin and Ethereum, the leverage will be up to 10x, while for other assets– up to 3x. The transaction fee will initially be 0.01% until the end of the year. To ensure liquidity on weekends, Robinhood will use an alternative system, Bruce ATS, planning to make stock and ETF trading available 24/7 after regulatory approval.
As part of the updates, the platform will also introduce binary contracts on company financial reports through the Cboe exchange, improved options trading hours, and support for cancelable orders. Additionally, interest in social networks is growing at Robinhood, with the launch of Robinhood Social. It was also reported that at the end of September, an analyst under the pseudonym Wazz uncovered a large rug pull scheme on the Robinhood Chain, in which at least $18.43 million was withdrawn over two months.
