Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced the beginning of a test phase of monetization of YouTube in the republic. According to him, users already notice the inserts of advertisements between the videos, which indicates activation of the relevant platform tools. This is an important step for the integration of the country into the global digital space, stressed the head of government.

The launch of monetization opens up new prospects for Armenian authors to earn money on video content. Pashinyan expressed hope that this will encourage creators to improve the quality of materials and develop more professional public communication. The YouTube content requirements remain high, which should have a positive impact on overall video production.

Previously, the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Ayrapetyan, informed that full monetization is expected to be launched in late April - early May 2026. The current testing allows the platform and contributors to prepare for a permanent framework.
