Tim Draper: Apple and Meta Should Hold Bitcoin to Mitigate Financial Risks

Tim Draper, founder of Draper Associates, believes that companies like Apple and Meta are irresponsibly not holding Bitcoin. During a podcast with Bitcoin Magazine, he stated that every company should have at least four weeks of operational expenses in Bitcoin reserves. Draper also recommends that individual users save about six months of their expenses in this digital asset, and that governments should provide similar protection through Bitcoin.

Draper noted that companies that do not hold Bitcoin face legal and financial risks, especially when the bank holding their cash goes bankrupt. "Every business should have at least four weeks of operational expenses in Bitcoin," he emphasized. He also pointed out his target of $250,000 per Bitcoin, which he believes will be reached by the next halving event and subsequent supply shock.

According to Draper, government spending is not decreasing, leading to two possible outcomes: hyperinflation or high interest rates that could break banks. He warns that companies that ignore Bitcoin may find themselves in a vulnerable situation in the future.
