XRP Ledger Activity Increased: Up 153.9%

Activity in the XRP Ledger is increasing again: payment volume over the last 24 hours rose by 153.9% to 363.3 million XRP, according to XRPScan. This is a positive signal for XRP holders. The volume increase occurred at a crucial moment for the price. Currently, XRP is trading around $1.36 after dropping to $1.31. Buyers have become active right at the moving average level, which is around $1.34. This level has become support, and the current candle is green after several red ones. However, it's important to understand the context. The mentioned volume of 363.3 million XRP is significantly lower than the 30-day average of 680.4 million. The 153.9% increase seems significant because the previous day was very weak. Thus, this is a recovery from a low base, not a new record. The historical high for payment volume is 7 billion XRP, highlighting how current activity lags behind peak values.

According to the one-year chart, volume moves with sharp fluctuations. It jumps above 1.5 billion, then returns below 500 million. The largest spikes occurred in November and February, when volume reached approximately 2.5 billion and 2.7 billion, respectively. Only a small spike of 1.9 billion was observed in September. Silence followed by a sharp jump is normal for this network. What makes this move interesting to watch is the timing. The price fell from nearly $1.65 at the end of September to the low $1.30s. The relative strength indicator is around 40, indicating weak momentum but not intense selling. Trading volume on the price chart also decreased in October. Increased network activity may be the first sign of returning interest.

For bulls, the next test will be the $1.38–$1.40 zone. XRP needs to close above this level to reclaim the black and blue moving averages. This will open the path to $1.45 and then $1.50. If buyers fail at this level, then $1.31 will become the defensive level. A drop below it will question the recent rebound. For now, the volume increase and rebound from the support level create a good combination. However, one strong day is not a trend. Traders need to see volume above the 30-day average before calling this a real bullish turn.
