The daily payment volume through the XRP Ledger reached 1.1 billion XRP, indicating a significant increase in network activity. Data shows that in September, the payment volume was around 1.16 billion XRP, while the 30-day average was only 494.6 million XRP. Thus, the current payment volume exceeds the monthly average by more than double.
In addition to the increase in volume, the number of successful transactions rose by 11.2 percent to 1.5 million, while the total number of transactions on the XRP Ledger amounted to 2.2 million, which is 23.9 percent higher compared to previous periods. There were also 757,400 payments made and 18,700 active accounts, indicating a 21.5 percent increase in active users. However, it is worth noting that the number of active users still decreased by 17.3 percent to 155,300, which may suggest a potential misinterpretation of the data regarding the overall growth of the network.
This increase in payment volume comes at a very interesting time for XRP, as after a sharp decline from around $1.70, the asset is trading at approximately $1.32. Current support levels are between $1.28 and $1.30, and if this level is lost, XRP may become vulnerable to a more serious correction. Short-term resistance levels are between $1.34 and $1.36, where XRP faces both recent resistance and the long-term moving average on the chart. Considering this, the payment volume of 1.1–1.2 billion XRP serves as additional support for attempts to recover the asset's price, despite the lack of guarantee that this will lead to a sustainable increase in prices.
