XRP Ledger Prepares Update fixCleanup3_4_0

The activation of fixCleanup3_4_0 for the XRP Ledger is expected on October 23, 2026, at 9:34 UTC, which is in the next 4 days, according to XRPScan. The amendment includes fixes for single asset storage, lending protocol, automated market makers, closed decentralized exchange, trust lines, NFTs, MPT, escrow, sponsorship, transaction signing, and permission delegation. More than 80% support, held for 14 days, is required for activation.

fixCleanup3_4_0 continues a series of updates from recent months. In March 2026, Ripple announced the creation of a dedicated red team with AI support for continuously searching for vulnerabilities in the XRP Ledger. Release 3.1.3 was the first specialized security release from this work: no new features, only enhanced protection. It was followed by fixCleanup3_2_0, included in July. fixCleanup3_3_0 – fixes for single asset storage, lending protocol, automated market makers, closed decentralized exchange, checks, and pseudo-accounts – was launched in October 2026.

There are about 25 changes in fixCleanup3_4_0. Among them is the release of the IOU issuer from its own global ban on NFT offers in its currency and the change of authorized trust lines: they will implicitly authorize the pseudo-account counterparty.

October remains eventful for the XRP Ledger and the Ripple ecosystem. XRP Seoul 2026 – the largest XRP event in Asia – took place on October 3 and gathered over 5,000 participants. Permission delegation and batch amendments were launched on October 8 and 9 respectively; in the first days after launch, batch operations accounted for more than 15% of the main XRPL network transactions and became the third type of transactions. From October 27 to 29, Swell will be held in New York: among the participants are Brad Garlinghouse, Terrence Duffy from CME Group, Tom Farley from Bullish, Matt Damon from Water org, as well as executives from BNY, Coinbase, Robinhood, Barclays, State Street, and Jump.
