Zcash to Reduce Block Time from 75 to 25 Seconds in NU7 Upgrade
Zcash will activate the NU7 upgrade around November 5 at block height 3,543,405: the block time will be reduced from 75 to 25 seconds, and fees will partially go into a reserve for future rewards. ZEC holders in the Sprout pool need to transfer their funds to Sapling in advance, and network operators must upgrade to Zebra 7.0.0, or they will fall out of the consensus chain.
