Greenpeace Creates Underwater Barrier in the North Sea to Protect Marine Life
Greenpeace activists dropped stones from the Arctic Sunrise vessel to stop bottom trawling in the southern protected area of the North Sea – the most trawled area in the UK. The barrier closed off about 116 sq. km, and the area has been declared an 'ocean park'.
