ECB Chooses Network Providers for Digital Euro
On October 30, the ECB selected two groups of providers to connect payment companies and central banks to the digital euro platform. The contracts support the preparation of a pilot and a potential launch, but do not determine whether the currency will be issued. The first contract began on September 28, and the second is set for May 2027.
