On Monday, September 14, 2026, Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, sold shares of Coinbase, Circle, Bullish, Bitmine Immersion Technologies, as well as its own spot Bitcoin ETF amid a rise in cryptocurrency-related stocks. The company actively manages its fund portfolio and regularly adjusts positions when the stocks of individual issuers reach established limits.
According to the latest trading data, the company sold 36,628 shares of Coinbase. Shares of Circle Internet Group were sold for approximately $13.8 million, while at the closing price of $191.45 last month, their value was about $7 million. Circle shares closed up 7.53% at $97.42.
Ark also sold 153,881 shares of Bitmine – a company that owns ETH shares. Their value is estimated at approximately $3.96 million, and trading closed at $25.76, which is 2.92% higher than the previous figure. Another 18,280 shares of the cryptocurrency exchange Bullish were sold for about $687,693. The shares closed up 7.12% at $37.62. The largest cryptocurrency-related transaction involved the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF. The company sold 1,528,953 shares of ARKB for approximately $40 million. The fund itself closed up 2.22% at $26.19.
Ark Invest regularly adjusts its positions in the cryptocurrency stock portfolio depending on market conditions. Its investment strategy does not allow the share of any single asset in the fund's portfolio to exceed 10% — this is done to maintain diversification within the ETF. This is why sales occur amid rising stock prices: when the value of an asset in the portfolio increases, its share automatically rises and requires rebalancing.
