In its third-quarter 2026 report, Chainlink announced the migration of over $15 billion in tokens to its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) infrastructure. The new version, CCIP 2.0, launched in the third quarter, introduced enhanced security, compliance, and asset settlement mechanisms. The cumulative transaction value secured by Chainlink services exceeded $36 trillion, with over $85 billion in tokens secured through CCIP. As of October 22, 2026, the price of the LINK token was at $12.24 after a recent peak of around $15.70. Over 24 hours, the token fell by 0.67%, despite a positive 1.68% for the week. Indicators show a weakening of buying interest: the relative strength index is at 44.11. Support is located at $12.00, and a possible decline below could lead to the $11.00 mark.
In the third quarter, Chainlink also demonstrated growth in institutional infrastructure interaction by introducing Fulcrum at the Sibos conference; the platform will enable financial institutions to set financing terms and coordinate collateral settlements on supported networks. Chainlink expanded its collaboration with financial institutions such as Swift and Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). The report highlights that CCIP 2.0 provides new levels of protection and compliance for institutions transferring digital assets between blockchains.
In September, the Wyoming Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve for distributing independently verifiable reserve information of FRNT on supported blockchains. In the third quarter, Chainlink's reserve increased by 1,543,330.47 LINK, bringing the total holdings to 6,047,498.3150 LINK.
