While retail traders panic and lock in losses, large funds use local order blocks for planned purchases. This is how the split in the XRP market looks in October 2026: the token plummeted from a local high of $1.50 to 1.31–1.33 in just a few days, losing all summer momentum. According to the TradingView chart, the price fell below the cluster of horizontal volumes.
The trigger for the panic was macro data from the US. Unexpectedly hot inflation forced investors to urgently revise forecasts: the market is pricing in a 64% probability of a Fed rate hike at the meeting at the end of the month. Amid the outflow of liquidity into safe government bonds, retail began to massively sell off positions.
However, technical analysis of the hourly chart shows that the fall brought the price directly to a strong support zone. It is in the range of 1.30–1.60 that key liquidity pools and order blocks are concentrated, where sellers hit a dense wall. Panic is panic, but big players are looking at November.
Institutional investors completely ignore the current market depression, betting on a strong infrastructure background and historical cycles. While retail is selling off coins, the corporate triggers of the week – the listing of Evernorth Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: XRPN) with a large XRP fund, Standard Chartered's custody for Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, and the integration of the token by broker DriveWealth – coincided with a net inflow of $1.7 billion into spot XRP ETFs.
