Meta shares rose by 3.4% on Monday amid the presentation of the Muse Wonder system, the debut flagship AI product of the IT giant. Earlier, the September announcement of the Muse lineup led to a one-day stock surge of 11%.
Internal reviews place Wonder and the Wonder Full version alongside solutions from OpenAI and Anthropic. The modest response indicates that investors had already factored in the progress into the stock prices.
Meta shares outperformed the index amid the Muse release
Meta's securities showed gains while the tech-heavy S&P 500 index lost 0.9%. The current rise was less than the 11% rally in September when the AI agent Muse was announced. During the first month of autumn, the company's shares rose by 27%.
The organization conducted comparative performance testing of neural networks on its own. The flagship version Muse Wonder Full is available to users of the Muse Code service, a special tool for writing program code. External engineers can only purchase the starter version of Wonder at a rate of $4 per 1 million input tokens—textual units for processing. This price is close to Anthropic's Opus 5.5 rate. This confirms the focus on developing a subscription ecosystem rather than aggressive developer outreach.
Will subscriptions cover the costs of developing Wonder
Soon, the Muse agent will transition to the Wonder architecture, initially for paid plan users. Oppenheimer brokerage analyst Jason Helfstein believes that with an audience of 115 million people and a monthly payment of $20, revenue could amount to about $28 billion annually.
Wells Fargo bank financial analyst Ken Gavrelski raised the target for Meta's stock price to $1000. However, the expert expects moderate income forecasts for the upcoming periods and calls the 2027 fiscal year a local bottom for net profit.
The deployment of the ecosystem is associated with risks. Last month, Amazon closed access to Muse on its servers due to unauthorized parsing activity. Currently, Meta shares are holding close to $742, which is about 5% below the September peak of $779.82.
