The major corporation Microsoft has introduced an updated version of its smart assistant. The new service will combine chat and network application creation tools. The system will be built around three main working modes of Copilot. Satya Nadella called the service the new operating system for the company's work. The Home section will combine a regular chat with useful Cowork functions. The Code mode will allow creating applications from the general Copilot interface. The user will describe the desired application in natural language without manual coding. The system will deploy an isolated environment and automatically create a ready-made application. Corporate products can be placed within the organization's closed infrastructure.
The Autopilot mode is intended for long tasks in the system's background. The agent will be able to perform work autonomously without a new request. The autonomous assistant will have its own identity and working memory. The agent will be able to work asynchronously and monitor data changes. The system will track Teams channels and initiate processes on its own. The user will not need to manually start each subsequent stage of work. Functions of the previous agent Scout transition to the new Autopilot mode. Home and Code will begin distribution through the Frontier access program. The Autopilot mode will appear in a closed testing format a little later.

The cost depends on the context and duration of the task. The user needs a basic Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Agent tasks are paid in Copilot Credits. One credit costs one cent when paying per use. Administrators can track credit consumption in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, set limits, and identify cost sources.
The company is developing similar approaches in other Copilot products. Application creation by description is available in Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio. The user receives a working foundation and reviews the source code. In June, it became known that OpenAI plans to turn ChatGPT into a super app, combining AI agents, programming tools, and third-party applications.
