The Tonkeeper wallet has been renamed to Keeper and now supports seven blockchain networks, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. In this announcement made on Tuesday, the Keeper team stated that Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and Base have been added to the TON network. Founder and CEO of Open Platform, Andrey Rogozov, noted: “Keeper – is the next chapter: we are expanding the simplicity we are known for beyond TON and into the broader crypto-economic market.”
According to Nikita Monastyrsky, CMO of Keeper, the rebranding was a result of changes in user activity that extended beyond a single chain. He noted that users who trusted Tonkeeper are now managing assets across multiple networks, including USDT on Tron and Bitcoin. Previously, they had to use four to five applications for this, and the need for a unified solution became evident. One of Keeper's new features is Battery, which will allow users to pay transaction fees without holding tokens from each network. Keeper plans to expand this feature to all supported networks within the year.
These changes come amid growing ties between Telegram and TON. In January, TON was announced as the sole blockchain for crypto functions in Telegram mini-apps. Keeper is also set to expand its services, planning to add cross-chain swaps, spending tools, a decentralized application browser, and other financial services. As Monastyrsky notes, their goal – is to create a single asset management application that will be accessible to a wide audience while maintaining a connection to the TON ecosystem. “We are expanding beyond the TON ecosystem while still staying closely connected to it,” – he stated, emphasizing the importance of integrating new features and capabilities.
