Cardano Continues to Decline and Trades Around $0.188

Cardano (ADA) is trading around $0.188 on Tuesday after losing an important support level in the previous session. The cryptocurrency is struggling to attract buyers, and technical indicators are weakening, suggesting that the correction may not be over.

What Derivatives Show

According to CoinGlass, the long-to-short ratio for ADA on Tuesday was 0.8248 – close to the lowest in more than a month. A value below 1 indicates more short positions than long ones: traders are more often betting on a decline. Meanwhile, the funding rate turned positive, reaching 0.0097%: long position holders are paying shorts, meaning some participants are still willing to bet on a recovery. These mixed signals suggest the market is divided, and such a mixed picture increases volatility.

According to a CryptoQuant summary, both the spot and futures markets show large orders from major holders, signs of overheating, and seller dominance. Large orders alone do not confirm that holders are selling off ADA: data on exchange flows and wallet activity are needed for clarity.

Technical Picture

ADA is trading around $0.187, with the daily chart structure favoring sellers. The price has fallen below the ascending support line, which now acts as resistance around $0.218. ADA is also below the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA) at $0.215 and the 50-day EMA at $0.216 – these levels are above the price and limit recovery. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is holding around 30, close to the oversold zone, but this does not guarantee an imminent reversal. MACD remains slightly negative: sellers maintain the advantage.

The first significant resistance is at 0.215–0.218, where the 100-day EMA, 50-day EMA, and former support line converge. A sustained move above opens the way to $0.236, then to the 200-day EMA around $0.239, horizontal resistance at $0.245, and a higher barrier at $0.299. Such a move requires a noticeable increase in demand and improved market sentiment.

On the downside, the next major support is at $0.155. A continued decline to this level would be a significant continuation of the correction; the level may attract buyers, but a sustained rebound depends on whether there is enough demand to absorb the selling pressure.
