В JPMorgan сравнили спрос на хеджирование биткоина и золота

An old Bitcoin wallet, which had not been used for over 15 years, suddenly activated, moving 20.43 BTC valued at $1.7 million. This wallet had remained inactive since May 2011, and its awakening occurred on September 29. According to Galaxy Research, the operation consisted of two transactions. Interestingly, historically, the average cost of 10.33 BTC from the first part of the transaction was only about $4, resulting in a profit of approximately $872,000, which corresponds to a staggering growth of 2,192,671%. Additionally, the other part - 10.10 BTC, was valued at about $3 per coin. Overall, the total profit from the two groups amounted to about $1.724 million.

Since the beginning of September, there has been a wave of activations of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets. On September 5, a significant event occurred when 12 wallets with 50 BTC each moved a total of 600 BTC after more than 16 years of silence. These coins were mined in March 2010 and were worth about $48 million at that time. The old outputs were consolidated into new, previously unidentified Bitcoin addresses. Blockchain researchers found no evidence linking these coins to Bitcoin's creator Satoshi Nakamoto, despite their very early origin.

In just the first five days of the month, approximately 626.74 BTC from long-unused wallets began to move, including eight wallets that since 2013 moved 25 BTC each within 25 seconds. Galaxy Research tracked four wallets that had not been used for more than ten years, which moved a total of 1,971.03 BTC from September 6 to 22. Another old wallet with 10.25 BTC reactivated after a long period of inactivity since March 2011. On September 19, another wallet created in 2011 moved 100 BTC, valued at approximately $8.09 million. And exactly three days later, on September 22, a wallet inactive since July 2012 made a transaction of 600 BTC, which was valued at about $51.9 million.
