Ripple Draws Attention After Transfers of 310 Million XRP

Ripple has found itself in the spotlight of the crypto market following a series of large XRP transactions involving nearly 310 million tokens. According to Whale Alert, three major transactions using XRP occurred within minutes. The latest was a transfer of 120,000,000 XRP worth $150,565,645 from an address associated with Ripple to an unknown wallet. Two other transactions totaling 190 million XRP were executed from unknown wallets to an address associated with Ripple. Specifically, 90,000,001 XRP, equivalent to $112,962,219, and 99,999,999 XRP worth $125,555,158 were transferred separately.

The recent transactions may be related to treasury management, internal wallet redistribution, or other operational purposes, rather than necessarily the sale of XRP. However, until Ripple provides further comments, this remains unclear.

Timing of the Moves Matters

The timing of the XRP moves also matters, as it occurred after the conclusion of the Swell event in New York, which took place from October 27 to 29, 2026, and following the Binance hack. As a result, the three transfers totaling 310 million XRP have drawn attention to Ripple's activity.

The recent Swell event highlights XRP's position, with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stating that the cryptocurrency remains a priority for the company and continues to serve as a bridge between currency pairs. “We just want to do what is good for XRP,” Garlinghouse noted.
