XRP Ledger Network Activity Reaches 2026 Peak

Activity on the XRP Ledger network reached its highest level this year: on October 27, the number of active accounts, i.e., unique senders, was 32,604. This is significantly higher than the 30-day average of 19.4 thousand.

Spike above the annual range

For most of the year, the indicator remained in the range of 13 thousand to 20 thousand. Several short spikes rose above 30 thousand but quickly subsided. The current growth turned out to be more significant and "cleaner" than previous ones. It was preceded by a sharp decline in late August - early September, when activity dropped to almost 4 thousand accounts.

Activity has already decreased from the peak: the latest value is 30.5 thousand, 6.3% less over 24 hours, and the chart shows a sharp rollback to 18 thousand. Nevertheless, the network is noticeably busier than a few weeks ago. The historical maximum of 106 thousand remains far off.

Price does not follow activity

XRP is trading around $1.29 and has been declining since early October when the price was close to $1.50. The coin is below the 50-day and 100-day averages around $1.33 and $1.36; the 200-day average around $1.37 is also above the price. All these levels now act as resistance.

Support is around $1.25, where buyers have been active twice in recent weeks. If the level is breached, the next zone is $1.20, then the August breakout zone of 1.10–1.15. Trading volume remains low throughout the decline, and the RSI is slightly below 50: the market is neutral and lacks strong momentum in either direction.

What the gap means

The increase in active accounts may mean that more people are using the network for payments, trading, or moving funds. For the long-term picture, this is a positive signal, but network activity does not always push the price up in the short term. Spikes may occur due to bots, airdrops, or one-time events and often quickly fade away, as shown by previous peaks this year. For an upward reversal, the price needs to return above $1.33, and then $1.37. Until then, the trend remains weak, and high network activity is a positive signal that the market has not yet reflected in the price.
