The Number of New Accounts on the XRP Ledger Increased by 142.4%

According to XRPScan, the creation of new accounts on the XRP Ledger surged by 142.4%: on November 1, 2026, 7,734 new activated accounts appeared. This is 33% more than the previous day and significantly higher than the average daily figure for the last 30 days – about 3,500 new accounts per day. The creation of wallets is clearly accelerating, but the reasons remain unclear.
What's behind the growth
There are several possible explanations: interest in tokenized assets, stablecoins, and DeFi applications on XRPL, integration with exchanges, and automatic wallet creation. However, more accounts do not necessarily mean more users: one person can open several, and automated systems even more, so other metrics in the network are needed to assess actual adoption. XRPScan's history shows that account creation has surged before: the historical maximum was about 30,600 accounts, and the current increase does not reach it.
Price under pressure
Network metrics are growing, but the price tells a different story. According to TradingView, on November 2, XRP is trading around $1.25 after a prolonged correction from the highs of September and October. The token remains below several important moving averages, so bearish pressure persists. The nearest support is 1.20–1.25, and on an attempt to recover, resistance may be provided by the range of 1.30–1.35.
What's next
The growth in account creation amid falling prices reflects blockchain adoption and market demand – these are not the same. For more reliable confirmation of growing interest in XRPL, a steady increase in active addresses, transaction volumes, and overall ecosystem usage is needed. While the 142.4% increase is an encouraging sign of network activity, whether it will translate into real demand for XRP remains an open question.
