Strive Increases Bitcoin Holdings to 25,000 BTC

Strive, listed on Nasdaq, acquired 469 bitcoins at an average price of around $77,954, increasing its holdings to 25,000 BTC – nearly $2 billion. This was announced on Monday. According to Bitcoin Treasuries, Strive remains the fifth largest public bitcoin company: Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA hold a larger volume of BTC.

Strive's CEO Matt Cole wrote on X on Monday that 100% of the capital raised over the week came from the sale of SATA – perpetual preferred shares of Strive. The company's shares (ASST), based in Dallas, Texas, rose more than 6% following the news.

Strive debuted as an official bitcoin treasury company last year. It was founded by former Ohio gubernatorial candidate and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. In January 2026, the company completed the acquisition of Semler Scientific in a stock deal – marking the first instance of a public bitcoin treasury company acquiring another such company. Like other digital treasuries, the idea is that investors can achieve enhanced returns from Strive's shares. The company buys bitcoin with its own equity and maintains a debt-free balance: no bonds, no credit lines, and no leverage that could trigger forced liquidation during a downturn.

Strive differs from other large bitcoin treasuries in that it has no debt. Other major players – for example, the largest Strategy – have used leverage to purchase the leading cryptocurrency. Cole described the company as debt-free, with zero margin requirements and zero pledged bitcoins.
